Behind the Scenes: What We’ve Learned in the Field

In preparation for our beta launch, the Petronix team has been busy testing prototypes in real-world trail conditions. These sessions have helped refine everything from component placement to connectivity reliability.

The good news: GPS and Bluetooth antennas are performing exceptionally well. The team also verified strong LTE signal reliability—even when the device is partially covered by the dog’s body. Foam spacers were added to lift the unit slightly, resulting in significantly improved range.

More exciting still, Petronix is preparing to add a satellite module for remote coverage. Auto-braking and lane-assist features are being prototyped using accelerometer inputs and environmental feedback, laying the groundwork for real-time safety interventions.

This iterative field testing helps us validate each innovation in real environments. Whether it’s a test hike with Molly or controlled antenna tuning, every walk takes us closer to launch.
