How is Trail Edition different from a GPS tracker?
Most GPS collars tell you where your dog was. Trail Edition is a full safety system — designed to prevent dogs from getting lost in the first place. It offers real-time alerts, hazard detection, guided boundaries, and Lost Dog Mode — even when you’re off the grid.
Does Trail Edition work without cell service?
Yes. Trail Edition includes satellite fallback and Bluetooth-based trail tools, so it can still track location, trigger geofences, and help recover your dog even when LTE is unavailable.
Will it fit my dog?
Trail Edition comes in multiple sizes with adjustable straps and a low-profile fit designed for active dogs. It’s secure enough for rough terrain, yet comfortable for all-day wear.
How does the app work with the harness?
The Petronix Wear app connects to the harness to provide location tracking, alert settings, geofence management, and Lost Dog Mode controls — all from your phone.
What happens if my dog gets lost?
Trail Edition automatically activates Lost Dog Mode: it begins broadcasting a Bluetooth signal, triggers audio messages from the harness, and alerts other Trail Edition users nearby to help locate your dog quickly.
